 Tokens in AASB 3.5
Article

In the template editor when I insert a token it looks like this: {{AAWS.KEYWORD}}and I am expecting it to look like this:{KEYWORD}, So is it adding and extra set of {}'s and AAWS to the token code?

Is this a bug or a change in format from the original documentation/sample templates such as 14.html.

Also I see where to add a custom universal token to apply to all my sites (I need a token for "Main Word Singular" and "Main Word Plural") but I don't yet see where I would enter the actual data that would populate these custom tokens as each site is created.

Thanks

Yes there is a double {{ }} around the tokens, so that is right. No matter what you edit a token to look like, the program will automatically put a Double Bracket around the token for you.

As for creating a custom token, you simply go to the Template Editor and click on the first icon in the second row of the toolbar (they will tell you what they are by mousing over them. This is the "Add New Token" icon).

In the resulting box that pops up, click on the "Edit Token" button (if the edit boxes are not already showing) and then just type in the Token Name you wish to creat (something that you will recognize for the function you are creating it for), and the token as you wish it to appear on the template (you do not need to put in the brackets, just the name. The program will take care of that for you). Then save the token.

You can now use it anywhere you like.

It does not matter what token is showing in the token window above the Edit Button, when you save your new token, it will create a new one, not overwrite the old one.
