The next step is to find out what Keyword Phrases people are actually using to FIND the sites that pertain to your Niche. By targeting the exact keywords they are typing into a Search Engine, you can find the sites that they are being led to BY those search engines.

There are a lot of software products and services that can help you to research Keywords. Some are free and some are not (Just do a search in Google for Keyword Research tools to find more than you ever wanted to know existed).

Some of the better Paid products are Market Samurai, WordTracker.com, SpyFu.com, and SEOElite.com. While some of the better Free Research Tools can be found at

PPCWebSpy,

http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com , http://selfseo.com/keyword_suggestion_tool.php , http://www.keyworddiscovery.com/search.html

But as far as I am concerned, one of the best Keyword Research Tools out there is FREE, and that‟s Google’s own Keyword Research tool which can be found at… https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

This great tool will give you all the targeted keyword phrases you can use, and give you a lot of valuable information about each one as well, like how competitive each keyword is, the search volume for the last month for each keyword term as well as the yearly average for each. All very useful information for deciding on whether a niche is worthwhile and which keyword terms to target.

Simply choose a few of the most obvious keyword phrases for your product, and input them into Google‟s Keyword research tool, then enter the generated code, and click the button.

You’ll instantly be given a list of all the keywords people have been searching on, as well as a list of suggested alternatives. You can then go through them one at a time, considering the information for each, and choose the ones you think people who are looking or your product might be searching on (A bit time consuming, but worth the trouble so that you don’t target phrases that are not relevant), or if you don’t want to take the time to go through them, you can just click the Select All box.

Then just download the final list to your computer, either in a .txt file or a .csv file. Repeat this process for the Main Keywords you started with and you’ll end up with a HUGE list of keywords to work with.

NOTE: It’s probably a good idea to go through the final list once more, to make sure you’re not wasting your valuable time on keywords that are not likely to produce good results.

You will be working individually with each of the keyword phrases in your final list, so you will have a lot to do. Use your time wisely ;o)
